Ohio Transport Incubator Product Detail
Model: Air-Vac
Features:
- Designed to provide an intensive care transportation system for the premature and critically ill newborn.
- Provides regulated temperature, oxygen and humidity, along with visibility and emergency access during transport.
Specifications:
- Thermal Performance. Maintain incubator from 95 to 100°F with 35°F ambient temperature when line powered; maintains. 90°F with 12 V D.C and 95°F with 24V DC supply at 35°F ambient. Has rotary temperature control with Heater On & High Temperature. Warning lights. Includes hood thermometer for 5-40°C or 40-110°F.
- Air Filtration/Humidity. Ambient air is drawn at 8-10 lpm through a filter assembly with 0.5 micron filter pores, into the incubator. A built-in humidifier provides relative humidity from 40-60%.
- Oxygen Administration. The incubator is equipped with 40% & 100% inlet connections for ambulance or wall oxygen supply; and enclosure for D or E oxygen cylinders. Optional yoke and regulator assembly can provide variable flow rate as well as O2 concentration from ambient to 85%. Allows use of oxygen hoods.
- Visibility: A 5/16th inch thick plexiglass hood allows excellent visibility from front, top and head end. Focused, variable intensity, internal lamp provides supplemental lighting, and white compartment lining allows true visual representation of patient's color.
- Access. The hinged front and top of the incubator hood can be opened for major access to the patient. Two spring-loaded portholes at the front of the incubator, and a rectangular port in the head end of the incubator also provides access to the infant. Disposable wristlets attached to the front portholes improve thermal performance. The rectangular porthole can also be used as a shelf for procedures. Additional openings are provided for tubing, electrode leads, and other patient connections.
- Battery Pack: The incubator can use 12 or 24 volt battery packs, which are rated at approximately 24 ampere-. hours. The recharging circuit incorporates protection against overcharge or improper voltage supply. Indicator lights are provided for charger on, full charge, and low battery warning.
- Safety. The unit has a high temperature thermostat to limit the incubator temperature to 40°C (104°F) and meets AAMI standards for electrical safety. Over-center latches are provided to secure the hood, and patient's restraints for stability during transportation. Mounting are also provided to secure the incubator to the Collapsible Stand, and the standard stretcher hardware in ambulances.
- Electrical: The Air-Vac has the following specifications: 12VDC: 10.5-14.5V, 14Apm, from battery pack or ambulance. 16-20 hours recharging time. 1.2 hours supply for 90°F incubator temperature @ 35°F ambient (3.6 hours @ 70°F amb.). 24VDC: 21-29V, 7 Amp from helicopter or aircraft power. 16-20 hours recharge time. 120VAC: 104-127V, 2Amp, 50/60 Hz (or 400 Hz from helicopter or aircraft). 220VAC: (or 240V) 191-262V, 1 Amp, 50/60/400 Hz.
