Model: Cryotherapy
What is cryotherapy?
Cryotherapy is the application of cold on the body. It has many benefic effects, the most important for the organism are:
Vasodilation
Analgesia
Analtesia
Anti-inflamatory
When the blood feeding to certain place in the body is decreased in little proportions, must be taken in account the established parameter for its operation, is recommended not exceed its use.
The use of cold as a medical treatment may seem relatively recent but a brief review of cryotherapy history shows that it’s not the case.
In the year 2500 B.C., Egyptians used cold, aware of its analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect. These properties are precisely those that make its use very popular since 19th century.
Intended use
Low temperatures application for media time periods at corporal and facial level through an hydraulic cooling circuit and using bands in superficial contact with the patient’s skin, with clinic, therapeutic and aesthetic purposes. The equipment is programmed to perform fixed temperature sessions, as stablished by medical an therapeutic studies, in order to perform more efficient and safe therapies.
At the clinical level, Cryotherapy helps to treatments such as fractures recovery, dislocations, muscular exhaustion, spasms, pain, etc.
It is important to know that when our body suffers any type of damage in the muscular tissue and / or articulations, blood vessels in the injured zone are broken and begin a flow provocating inflammation, while the near zones who are resentful, send pulses to the brain which inmediatly sends back an answer converted in pain.
With the application of DERMOCELL CRYOTHERAPY, an analgesia is obtained, this is, the affected zone is numb in order to slow the the pulses sent to the brain and so decrease the response, in this case, the pain. Also the low temperatures stop the intern bleeding, stopping and decreasing the inflammation.
Its use in the aesthetic field is very efficient due to the rigidity and tonicity given to the collagen by the low temperatures located in different zones of the body. When these fibers are stimulated, an important elasticity decrease is achieved, which allows the contraction of these cells, showing a better skin appearance, firm and invigorated muscles.
Operation principles
Contraction of blood vessels and superficial tissues to strengthen and release the muscular fatigue.
Contraindications
If patient has some degree of hypothermia before the treatment, do not performe the procedure until achieve the adecuate corporal heat: 37°C.
Inspect the application area in order to determine that there is no cutaneous injury, herpes, allergies, etc. Otherwise, do not perform the procedure.
Do not perform the therapy in renal nor lumbar zone, and protect wital organs with a wipe, in order to avoid the direct contact with cold.
