Just squeeze the two thumb latches towards the center to lift. The acrylic panels are easy to clean and maintain. The aluminum trim is virtually carefree. Top locks in place with four heavy duty elastic straps at each corner. These straps can be released for removal of the top if necessary. This device permits an unobstructed view of the crib interior.
