Madsen Itera II Product Detail
The Madsen Itera II diagnostic audiometer combines great performance with exceptional design, perfect ergonomics and the choice of running stand-alone or connected to a PC.
The fully adaptable solution for diagnostic audiometry
Featuring two independent channels, full patient communication facilities, and a variety of special tests, Madsen Itera II is the ideal instrument for tone and speech audiometry. With the additional features of Hearing Instrument Simulation and optional high frequency audiometry, Madsen Itera II can meet the requirements of your dispensing and diagnostic practice.
The audiometer can be used either as a stand-alone audiometer or connected directly to a PC using the innovative OTOsuite™ software. The later allows full integration into today’s computerized offices and, among other things, offers a direct interface with PC-based hearing instrument fitting and dispensing systems.
Elegant, ergonomic design
Recognizing that an audiometer is the daily workhorse in your clinic, we have constructed an instrument that is both robust and comfortable to use. For example, tactile feedback from rotary knobs means you don’t have to take your eyes off the patient when changing frequency and level.
The front panel tells you at a glance about the tests you are performing. Current intensity, frequency, etc., can easily be read on the digital display while the pushbuttons’ integral lights show the audiometer’s current setup at a glance.
Used with a PC, test results can be monitored directly on the PC screen as colored audiograms providing a detailed picture and an even better overview of your testing.
Take audiology to your patients
The Madsen Itera II diagnostic audiometer was designed to collect, store, and display test data quickly. It is also easily portable in its custom carrying case. Weighing in at just ten compact pounds or under 5 kilos, the MADSEN Itera II unpacks and is ready to use in less than a minute, with no cords to untangle.
Now you can have complete freedom of movement – just open the case, pull out the accessories you want to use, plug in and you’re ready to start testing.
The benefits of PC connectivity
There are many benefits to using your PC with Madsen Itera II. Test data are automatically recorded and stored, which make it easy to review, file, and re-use them in different contexts. The OTOsuite Audiometry software supports both speech scoring and speech testing including a live VU-meter and offers additional features such as a Masking Assistant for high-quality testing and visual overlays for use in counseling.
One of the greatest benefits from PC-connectivity is the enhanced test view. Results are monitored directly on your PC screen as detailed audiograms in a layout allowing you to stay in close visual contact with your patient.
Visualizing the benefits
Hearing instrument simulation can increase understanding and provide some very convincing arguments for the benefits of wearing hearing instruments. Benefits which can sometimes be very difficult to explain.
With the Madsen Itera II all the data you need is right at your fingertips once the audiogram is completed. With a couple of keystrokes you can activate the built-in hearing loss simulator. And if used with a PC, you have direct access to the advanced hearing loss and hearing instrument simulators in the OTOsuite Audiometry software. All you have to do is to switch from one window to another.
