Genesis Electronic Plasma Expressor  Product Detail

The Genesis Electronic Plasma Expressor is an electromechanical device that enables easy and automated separation of plasma from whole blood. Conventional separators are simple devices that only use a mechanical process which requires the operator to monitor the process continuously and close the tubing precisely when separation has completed. The Genesis Electronic Plasma Expressor uses an optical sensor to signal the electronic clamp to close when the first red cells are detected.

Simply load the unit of whole blood into the expressor, place the tubing between the optic sensors and under the electronic clamp. Press the clamp “CLOSED” button. Release the spring plate and press the “START” button to begin the separation process. The plasma will begin to flow through the tubing. When red cells reach the optic sensor, the electronic clamp will close automatically and an alarm will sound. The sensitivity of the optic sensor can be adjusted by turning the potentiometer control knob on the rear panel.

Blood processing labs may require 12 or more Electronic Plasma Expressors. To avoid using so many power cords, the ES-315 allows 5 devices to run on just one AC power cord.

Take advantage of this new technology and automate your plasma processing to obtain better efficiency and uniform component production. Let Genesis BPS cure your separation anxiety!
