| Shandon Product Detail Model: Citadel 2000 A NEW DIMENSION IN TISSUE PROCESSING The Shandon Citadel with its innovative design, sets new standards in safety, versatility, ease of use and quality of processing. You can choose from two models: Citadel 1000 with one-liter reagent containers and a capacity of up to 60 cassettes or Citadel 2000 with two-liter reagent containers and a capacity of up to 110 cassettes. An integral hood gives the Citadel its unique shape and reduces fumes in the laboratory to a virtually unnoticeable level. Both models are supplied with ten durable solvent resistant melamine reagent containers, two wax baths and tissue baskets including a lid and a basket hanger. Optional accessories include a vacuum unit and extra wax positions (up to for maximum). A hand-held touch key pad, connected by an extendable lead to the processor, is used to program and control all functions. TOTALLY UNDER YOUR CONTROL The unique touch key pad incorporates all the functions you need to program and control your own specific processing cycle. Up to four complete schedules can be programmed, stored, recalled and monitored on the digital display at the touch of a button. Commands can be entered as quickly and easily as using a pocket calculator and changes in programmed immersion times initiated instantly. For added convenience, a real-time clock allows you to sent Citadel to automatically start processing at a pre-determined time of your choice. ADDED VERSATILITY Choose from four programs, add extra wax positions and add an optional vacuum facility for position 12. EASIER TO USE Programming and operation is quick and easy with the simple function keys on the hand-held controller. Loading and unloading is made easy with the specially designed tissue basket hanger. It clips positively into the hood interior and can be removed just as simply. You can choose the random basket for loose cassettes or the organizer basket for greater capacity, both of which fit neatly into the basket carrier. With smooth surfaces, Citadel has been designed to be easy to clean. SAFER AND EASIER-TO-USE CONTAINERS The tough solvent resistant melamine reagent containers are virtually unbreakable and are fitted with handles so they can be removed easily and safely for reagent changes. IMPROVED AGITATION - BETTER PROCESSING Tissue specimens are automatically raised from their reagent containers every 10 minutes and then re-immersed in a powerful and effective agitation system, which has been proven in extensive laboratory trials. With this improved agitation and the high vapor content of the closed hood, you can be sure that Citadel will provide the very best quality of processing consistently and reliably. SAFER FOR YOU AND YOUR SPECIMENS Once loaded, your tissue specimens are contained within the hood built onto the top of the processor. This cuts down fume emissions considerably to create a safe and pleasant environment in which to work. When your specimens are raised above a reagent container, they remain in an environment with high vapor content - so there is much less risk of them drying out even in the event of a power failure.
