Model: Galileo Classical

The Galileo is a full-featured intensive care ventilator for infant, pediatric, and adult patients. The Galileo ventilator family offers a full spectrum of capabilities, including invasive to noninvasive and advanced ventilation modes, plus tube resistance compensation. The GALILEO is the only ventilator in its class to feature the Intelligent Ventilation mode ASV. ASV is a unique closed-loop control mode which:
  • Ventilates virtually all intubated patients -- whether active or passive and regardless of their lung disease – based on a ventilation strategy tailored to their individual condition.

  • Is more responsive than conventional modes in adapting to the patient's breathing activity.

  • Requires fewer user interactions and gives fewer alarms

  • Facilitates shorter ventilation times

  • Provides ventilation at least as safely and effectively as international ventilation experts using conventional modes

Features:
  • Adult, pediatric, and infant ventilation capabilities

  • Full spectrum of modalities including unique closed-loop controlled mode ASV, DuoPAP/APRV, and noninvasive ventilation

  • Extensive monitoring package: 26 parameters, including lung mechanics, with waveform, loop, and trend displays, on a color screen

  • Patient-oriented monitoring through the proximal Flow Sensor

  • Ergonomic user interface rated highest in independent survey of ventilator users

  • Design for patient comfort and minimization of patient work of breathing

  • Internal battery backup plus optional gas cylinder holder for intrahospital transport
