Viasys  Product Detail
Model: Avian

The Avian Transport ventilator packs sophisticated microprocessor control into an extremely lightweight and durable package. Designed to provide time or volume cycled ventilation, in a variety of modes including Control, Assist/Control, SIMV, and CPAP. All of the modes are protected with Apnea backup ventilation and a comprehensive alarm package. The internal battery is capable of powering the unit for up to 11 hours of continuous use. Weighing in at just over 10 pounds (4.5 KG) the Avian can easily be taken to the scene. Small and compact at about 600 cubic inches (236 cm), just 10H X 12W X 5D (25.4 X 30.5 X 12.7 cm) it is possible to incorporate it into either automotive or aeronautical applications, where space is very limited. A very low internal bleed of just 2 L/min conserves oxygen greatly extending a cylinder's range. Users appreciate the logical layout of the controls and friendly interface especially in difficult situations like a transport. The switching power supply supports global use of AC power. AC power is converted to DC with a standard connection located on the ventilator's front. Connecting the power is easy, secure, and clearly in view, likewise the gas- supply connection. Longevity, lightweight, and capability three benefits you must have for a transport ventilator and all three available in the Avian.
