Although we cannot see radio waves, we know that they are everywhere around us. They bring us TV and radio programs and help us forecast weather conditions by means of satellites. Radio waves permit us to communicate over long distances and play an important role in space travel and exploration. Now in medicine too, radio waves are being used daily in diagnosis and treatment. Through decades of research, scientists were working to apply radio waves safely to patients and Diapulse was born.

What is Diapulse?

Quite simply, Diapulse radio waves produce pulsed high peak power electromagnetic energy which is a safe, comfortable treatment that can be used on any area of the body.

What Does Diapulse Do?

The Diapulse treatment is designed as an adjunct to treat post-operative edema (swelling) and pain and can be used along with other treatments and medications.

How Is It Applied?

Normally, the Diapulse treatment head is placed over the affected area or close to it. The doctor may treat more than one area if necessary. A big advantage of the Diapulse System is that it can treat safely and effectively through clothing and surgical dressings. So in most cases, it is unnecessary to undress.

What Will The Patient Feel?

Another advantage of Diapulse is that the patient will probably not feel any sensation. However, the doctor can demonstrate the electromagnetic field with a test coil which is attached to a light bulb. When placed over the treatment head, the bulb will light.

How Long is a Diapulse Treatment?

Depending upon the condition and area being treated, each session usually takes a minimum of fifteen minutes. However, longer treatment time may be given if indicated

How Often Should Diapulse Treatments Be Taken?

As with all other prescriptions, you must adhere to the prescribed treatment schedule to obtain maximum benefit.
